Delhi, 2nd November 2018: According to the latest real estate news India, until now, no PMAY houses have been developed in Bareilly. The PMAY authority failed to acquire any land for the project there, said Neha Singh, Executive Engineer, UP Housing Development Board, Bareilly.

On yesterday, the Central Government along with the UP Housing Development Board announced that they are planning to develop 5,000 houses for the poor in Bareilly by 2021 under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana scheme. The authority needs around 12.5 Hectares land to develop the project. The District Administrator has been approached by the State Government to find such compatible lands which will then handed over to the Housing Board for free.

Neha Singh also said that they are all ready for developing 5,000 PMAY houses in the coming three years. They have written to the District Administrator and the State Government to provide them with the required land so they can proceed with construction work as soon as possible, Neha added.

VK Singh, the District Magistrate, has appointed RS Dwivedi, the Assistant District Magistrate to look over the land acquiring matter. RS Dwivedi considered the PMAY housing project as the most important project of the Centre. They will arrange the required land shortly which will be provided to the UP Housing Development Board to complete the project, Dwivedi said.
